It’s an exciting time to become a partner. As a partner, you receive all the benefits of membership, as well as direct support from our ever-growing team of experts.
You are directly contributing to shaping the foundation of NORI, impacting generations to come. As a partner, you will be recognised as a founding member in our documentation, and your name (should you choose) will be displayed in our facility once it is constructed.
By becoming a member, you are joining a global village where all the members are dedicated to ensuring each of our children realises their full potential through the way we educate them. The community enables us to draw on multiple perspectives and expertise, empowering us to make informed decisions as individuals and as a collective. Together, without the constraints of borders, we can build systems and structures that uphold the tenets of a functioning society, starting with education.
Dr Kwame Nkrumah emphasised the importance of unity for the continent’s progress, a principle that remains a significant guiding force in our work. We are INTENTional about building a diverse community united by our dedication to ensuring Africans, whether on the continent or in the diaspora, thrive. We are committed to building systems and structures that govern the essential tenets of a functioning society, starting with education.
We are proud to have partnered with some fantastic individuals and organisations dedicated to ensuring that all our children receive the best possible education and care, enabling them to thrive and realise their full potential. Individuals are part of the “Nia Community”, and you can see some of our current organisational partners below.
The INTENT framework
The INTENT framework, developed by founder and CEO Andrea Yankah through her PhD research, is a dynamic framework originally designed to support teachers in developing, articulating, and enacting pedagogy (Yankah, forthcoming). The framework has also been adapted to help parents use evidence-based, developmentally appropriate parenting practices, ensuring they support their children in meeting their full potential. With parents and educators working together, every one of our children, and thereby our communities, will thrive. To this end, we have created the “INTENTional parenting” and “INTENTional pedagogy” pathways under the “Nia” community, outlined below.

Along the INTENTional parenting pathway, we work together to identify a specific parenting philosophy, built on your values as parents, using this to develop a personalised plan for parenting your child in a way that empowers them to realise their full potential and achieve greatness.
If you have a nanny, you can also sign them up for the intentional educator pathway, where in addition to receiving our expert led training programme, we work with you to monitor the work your nanny is doing with your children, in line with your values and goals for your children.
The INTENTional pedagogy pathway is designed for educators at all levels to identify, develop, articulate and enact pedagogies. Research shows that qualifications, and more specifically well-developed pedagogies, have the most significant impact on the quality of the education and care children receive. Regardless of the resources and funding available, the approach educators use have more impact than the physical building (or lack thereof), the materials avaliable etc. Along the pathway, we work together to develop personal strategies to ensure every sigle child you work with, is empowered to realise their full potential. |

Overview of project: Kindergarten Drobo is a passion project conceived by Stephen Takyi, who desires to see the children in his hometown Drobo, Ghana, receive the same opportunities as his own child in Germany. Educational inequality is a global issue, and for many around the world living in rural areas like Drobo, the gaps are even more significant. African Future Kids (AFK) is dedicated to closing these gaps. Their goal is to provide free access to quality education that will provide the knowledge and skills for individuals to live independent, self-determined lives equipped with practical life skills.
Our involvement: We are working with Kindergarten Drobo to:
- Raise money to complete the construction, furnishing and overall running of the school
- Develop and implement a unique culturally significant curriculum that will have a positive impact on the entire community.
- Training the teachers in child-centred play-based pedagogies using the local environment.
- Monitoring the impact of our efforts on the children and the community.

Project Summary: Elroi Good News Club aims to build a children’s centre, including a library and a playground to serve the entire community.
